Fort Desoto Camping

Excellent water views, good biking, nice beaches – what more can you ask for? My wife and I initially camped right here 45 years ago and the initially picture ever taken of us as a couple was taken at the fort. The Campground does hold back about ten% of the campsites and releases them each Friday morning at 7am for that week. We camped at Fort De Soto Campground in a Tent. We camped at Fort De Soto Campground in a Travel Trailer.

We camped at Fort De Soto Campground in a Motorhome. Join us for “a day in our life” at our Fort DeSoto (St. Sites are wonderful, you feel like you are element of nature, the water views are amazing and the nearby beach, biking and the fort are entertaining for exploring. Yes you can go in the water at the waterfront campsites, specifically last minute holidays and late offers 2017 at the dog campsites. This is about our 5th stay at this campground and we truly like it. The roads and web pages are dirt and there is a lot of vegetation involving websites.

The Pinellas Bayway is a toll road, and there is a tiny toll to get out to Fort Desoto County Park and campground. The campground is very quick to get to, interstate through Tampa and St. Petersburg then the Bayway. We camped at Fort De Soto Campground in a Truck Camper. The utilities were costa rica vacation deals seasonal specials placed ok. It was good to drive down to the beaches, but driving to town and back will price you a toll fee every single time.

That is fair but lots of campers handle to cheat the technique by employing various names (and regional Florida resident’s names and addresses) to get around the two week limit. Kayak rental is $23 for 1 hour, $29 for two, and $55 all day from topwater kayak which is in the park across from the dog beach. We definitely enjoyed the park and campground.
